Many different indirect dew point measurement techniques are in use today, however, the TSL Hygrothermometer (Model 1088) chilled mirror measurement technique uses a direct measurement of dew point over a wide temperature range. Because of the accuracy and reliability, the TSL Hygrothermometer has become the comparison standard for field systems. The significant accuracy of the TSL Hygrothermometer is achieved by the use of platinum resistance temperature devices (with 0.01% tolerance) and specialized optical bridge dew point detection circuitry.
Ambient and dew point temperatures from an aspirated sensor unit are processed in a weatherproof transmitter and transmitted via a bi-directional RS-232 fiber optic link to remote data displays. Optionally, data may be transmitted via shielded, twisted pair cable. The TSL Hygrothermometer includes a remote PC allowing display of temperature data and error messages, and to allow an operator to perform remote maintenance functions.
With over 1000 units fielded, TSL has developed a rapid response product support program. Contact us for more information on the Model 1088 Hygrothermometer.
